Pakistan Army violated ceasefire on Thursday morning along the line of control in the Shahpur Kerni sector of Poonch district.
The Indian Army retaliated the cross border shelling effectively. No casualties have been reported on either side.
Last year, the Indian External Affairs Ministry had stated that there have been more than 1,000 violations from the Pakistani side of the 2003 ceasefire agreement between New Delhi and Islamabad in 2018 alone.
