Prime Minister Narendra Modi takes oath for second term today, along with his ministers, for the second consecutive term at the Rashtrapati Bhawan after his party BJP witnessed a massive victory in the recently-concluded national elections.

PM Modi and his council of minister administered the oath by President Ram Nath Kovind. The dazzling oath-taking event will be held at the presidential palace Rashtrapati Bhavan at 7 pm and will be attended by world leaders, celebrities and politicians. Cabinet Ministers :

There have been 19 new faces in the Modi Cabinet for 2nd term. There have been 58 ministers of cabinet. It should be noted that Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley did not take oath in the new cabinet.

Debasree Chaudhuri takes oath

Kailash Choudhary takes oath as Minister of State at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Pratap Chandra Sarangi take oath. He had won from Odisha’s Balasore Lok Sabha seat in the 2019 polls. 

Rameshwar Teli takes oath. He had won from Assam’s Dibrugarh Lok Sabha constituency for the second time in a row.

V Muraleedharan takes oath. He was earlier the Kerala BJP president.

A father of three, Pralhad Joshi won with one of the highest winning margins in the 28 constituencies of Karnataka. He is a fourth-term parliamentarian from Dharwad in Karnataka.

PM Modi arrives at Rashtrapati Bhavan for the Swearing in Ceremony. Just before that he tweets, ” honored to serve people of India again.”

A record number of 8,000 guests are likely to attend PM Modi’s swearing-in ceremony. The guest list includes heads of several neighbouring countries, chief ministers of most of the states and Bollywood stars. The families of BJP workers who were allegedly killed in political violence in West Bengal in the last one year have also been invited to the ceremony. So far as the Opposition is concerned, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi are among other attendees.
