NEW DELHI, Oct 9: As part of its design to use Pakistan as its weapon against India, China is now helping Pakistan to install missiles in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) taking its military-to-military cooperation with Pakistan to the next tactical level with a view to creating more trouble for India.
According to intelligence reports, China and Pakistan “are working towards better integration of their militaries.”
The intelligence report says that construction is going in full speed near Lasadanna Dhok in PoK and China is helping Pakistan to install surface-to-air missile (SAM) systems there.
As per the media report, Pakistan deployed 120 to 130 army personnel and around 40 civilians are working at that construction site. Pakistan can operate this Surface-to-air missile system from Baugh district where Pakistan has set the control room.
Not only Pakistani army working in missile installation but the Chinese army will be there also to support Pakistan, Intelligence reports said.
The reports said similar construction had also been reported at Chinari in Jhelum district and Chakothi in Hattian Bala district of PoK. “China and Pakistan are working in tandem for better integration of their forces,” the report added. This year in June, Islamabad had posted a senior Army officer at the PLA headquarters in Beijing.
To counter the growing military and defence relations between China and Pakistan, India has readied its defence forces to face the duel threat. On September 3, Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat had said India was capable of handling two-front attacks. Issuing a stern warning to Pakistan, he said if Islamabad tried to take advantage of any threat developing along India’s northern borders, it would suffer heavy losses.
Experts on International politics believe that China is planning to control Pakistan politics and Economy through CPEC. This increasing economic and military cooperation in PoK and Occupied Gilgit-Baltistan is in China’s best interests as it is central to Chinese expansionism in the region.
At the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) conclave, CDS Rawat had pointed out that “China and Pakistan have been collaborating militarily, economically and diplomatically.”
