New Delhi: The US intelligence agencies have warned the US President over the Taliban in Afghanistan. US intelligence agencies have told the Biden administration that the “Taliban could overrun most of Afghanistan within two or three years if US troops leave before a power-sharing deal is reached between the warring sides, Report said.

Withdrawals of the American troops from Afghanistan will allow al-Qaeda to rebuild in Afghanistan, According to the US media.

President Joe Biden is deciding whether to meet a May 1 deadline for the withdrawal of the last 3,500 American troops that was set in a February 2020 accord struck with the Taliban under his predecessor, Donald Trump.

Some US officials are in support of keeping the US army in Afghanistan and believe that the soldiers should remain beyond the deadline. US officials are using the intelligence reports to argue.

Biden on Thursday told his first White House news conference that it would be hard to comply with the deadline, which also requires the departure of some 7,000 allied forces.

At the same time, Biden said he “could not picture” US troops being in the country next year.

The Taliban on Friday warned the US and said that “It would resume hostilities against foreign forces – which ended under the US-Taliban deal – if they remain beyond the deadline.”

The US-based international political experts have already expressed their views and said that “Withdrawals of the US troops from Afghanistan could be a huge challenge for the Washington government in future. Al-Qaeda, Terrorism, Chinese presence in Kabul and Afghanistan’s disputes with Islamabad may arise after the withdrawals of troops.”

“Re-Entry of the US security forces in Afghanistan will be like impossible for the US government once troops will leave Afghanistan and if the situation has gone wrong,” experts said.
