PM Modi visits Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Tripura

On Saturday morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh. He was greeted by several civil society groups with black flags.

Ahead of Lok Sabha election, PM Modi is on a tour to Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Tripura. He is campaigning blitzkrieg for Bhartiya Janta Party.
But people are protesting against him over the citizenship bill.

Raising question over opposition party PM Modi addressed a rally at Indira Gandhi Park in Itanagar said, “Previous government neglected Arunachal Pradesh for decades but we are here to change this. New India can only be built if Northeast can be developed well.”

He further stated that “Arunachal Pradesh is India’s pride and it is a gateway for India. I assure to everyone that we will not just ensure its safety and security, but also put in on a fast-track to development.”

He also remarked that Arunachal Pradesh has a huge potential for tourism sector. Its beauty mesmerize everyone who visits here. It also has a potential for new employment avenues for the youth of the state.

“Airports, railway lines, roads and highways, electricity; these all are examples of development in the Northeast. I am glad that Arunachal Pradesh is progressing rapidly.”

“I am blissful to inform that under the PM’s Saubhaya scheme in Arunachal Pradesh, almost every home has got electricity, and very soon rest of the country will get electricity. Here, we are emphasizing on power generation.”

PM inaugurated 9 big projects in Arunachal Pradesh including 12 hydroelectric project of 110 MW were inaugurated to help Arunachal Pradesh and neighbouring states.

He also allocated Rs. 44000 crore fund to Arunachal Pradesh which is double the amount provided by the previous government.

In last 2 years, almost 1000 villages have been connected through roads and also the work of Trans Arunachal highway is under development.

He laid the foundation stone of the Greenfield Airport at Hollongi in Parum Pare district of arunachal Pradesh. He also launched the work for a strategic tunnel in Sela which wiii reduce the travel time by an hour to the India-China Border of Tawang.

Also inaugurated DD Arun Prabha Channel, upgrades Tezu airport, and 50 health and wellness centres in Itanagar.

The Airport will boost the economic growth in the region and also have strategic importance.

In Assam, he laid the foundation stone of North East Gas Grid which will ensure uninterrupted availability of Natural Gas across the region. Also inaugurated City gas Distribution Networks in Kamrup, Cacher, hailakandi and Karimganj districts of Assam. It has ensure the supply of fuel to household, industrial and commercial units.  Also inaugurated Hollong Modular gas Processing Plant in Tinsukia. This facility will deliver 15% of the total gas produced in Assam.

PM also inaugurated LPG Capacity Augmentation of Mounted Storage Vessel in North Guwahati. The foundation stone of NRL Bio-Refinery at Numaligarhand a729 km gas pipeline from Barauni – Guwahati passing through Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim & Assam is being laid by PM.

On the same day, he visited Agartala, Tripura where he will dedicate Garjee – Belonia Railway Line through the unveiling of a plaque at Swami Vivekananda Stadium. This line will boost Tripura as the gateway to South and Southeast Asia. PM will also inaugurate New Complex of Tripura Institute of Technology at Narsingarh.

Prime Minister will unveil the statue of Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadurat Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport, Agartala. It is a creator of modern Tripura.
