PM Imran Khan chairs meeting to review Islamabad’s relations with India: Report

New Delhi: Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan on Friday hold a meeting with the Foreign Minister of Pakistan – Shah Mehmood Qureshi and other senior officials of the foreign office to review Pakistan’s relations with India, Report says.
Pakistan-based media on Friday reported that – PM Imran Khan will take a holistic review of the current status of relations between India and Pakistan.

Pakistan had unilaterally snapped ties with India in August 2019 to protest against the abrogation of Article 370 and bifurcation of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir into the two union territories.

In the last few weeks – the international political experts have noticed that – The Pakistan government and the military have issued statements signaling the country’s desire to normalize the ties between the two countries. In recent weeks, Pakistan’s leadership has toned down the rhetoric against India.

Pakistan Army Chief Jawed Qamar Bajwa also showed interest last month to develop good relations with the New Delhi government, he said that “it is a time to bury the past and move forward. A stable relationship between India and Pakistan is key to unlocking the potential of South and Central Asia by ensuring connectivity between East and West Asia.

In February, India and Pakistan had announced that they have agreed to a ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC).
