People should not do politics in the interest of the nation: PM Modi at Kevadia

Kevadia: On the second day of Gujarat visit, Prime Minister Modi paid his respects to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary. In the morning PM Modi tweeted that “A humble tribute to Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the pioneer of national unity and integrity, on his birth anniversary. Tributes to the great Sardar Patel on his Jayanti,”

After the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas parade, PM Modi reiterated India’s stand on terrorism and emphasised on the significance of ‘unity’ in this day and age. Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is known as the National Unity Day and it is celebrated to commemorate Sardar Patel who was one of India’s greatest freedom fighters.

PM Modi attacked on opposition in his speech and said “The country can never forget that some people were not saddened at the sacrifice of the security personnel during the Pulwama attack. At that time, these people were only doing politics… I request them not to do such politics in the interest of the nation.”

PM Modi urged that nobody should do the politics in the interest of the nation.

As terrorist activities are increasing in the world, on the terrorism – PM Modi said that “Today, all countries of the world need to unite against terrorism. No one can benefit from terrorism and violence. India has always fought against terrorism.”

PM Modi also highlighted article 370 and he said that “India is establishing new dimensions of unity today and Kashmir has moved on a new path of development. Whether it is restoration of peace in the Northeast, or the steps being taken for development there, today the country is establishing new dimensions of unity.”

On the coronavirus spread in the nation – Prime Minister Modi said that Around 130 crore Indians together honoured the Covid-19 warriors in their fight against this pandemic. The way the country has proved its collective potential during this time is unprecedented.”

PM Modi will come to Ahmedabad to inaugurate sea-plane service from Ahmedabad to Kevadia. Later in the day, PM Modi is expected to address 428 trainee officers from various civil services who are currently undergoing the foundation course at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie via video conference.
