MUMBAI, August 18: The noted actor- director Nishikant Kamat passed away in Hyderabad’s AIG Hospital on Monday, due to liver cirrhosis and multiple organ failure. He was 50.
Kamat made his silver screen debut in 2004 with the Hindi movie “Hawa Aney Dey.” He made his directorial debut in 2005 with Marathi movie “Dombivali Fast,” which won the National Film award for Best Feature Film in Marathi.
Kamat made his first directorial contributions to Bollywood In 2008 with the film “Mumbai Meri Jaan.” He was highly successful in making his own space in the Bollywood industry by contributing to movies like “Force,” “Drishyam,” “Rocky Handsome” and “Madaari.” He has also acted in movies like “Daddy,” “Rocky Handsome,” “Julie 2” and “Bhavesh Joshi.” He also produced a few web-series including “The Final Call” and “Rangbaaz Phirse.”
