Cabinet Portfolios announced – Amit Shah gets Home, Rajnath to be Defence Minister; Sitharaman gets Finance Ministry

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sworn in along with a 57 – member Council of Ministers that included his trusted BJP President Amit Shah. Here’s the full list of the Union Council of Ministers under the Modi 2.0 government along with their portfolio updates.

PM Narendra Modi also the in-charge of Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions; Department of Atomic Energy, Department of Space and All important policy issues and All other portfolios not allocated to any Minister.

Pratap Chandra Sarangi to be the MoS in the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises and Ministry of Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries. Babul Supriyo to be MoS in the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change.

General (Retd) VK Singh to be the MoS in the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Ramdas Athwale to be the MoS in the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Anurag Thakur to be the MoS in the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

Giriraj Singh on being appointed as Minister of Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries: Whatever responsibility I have been given I will work to take it forward in PM’s road map. I have already managed this portfolio in Bihar then I will like working in this portfolio once again.

Jitendra Singh has been appointed as Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, MoS PMO, Ministry of State in the Ministry of Personnel, Public grievances & pensions; MoS in the dept of atomic energy & MoS in dept of space.

Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ to be the Minister of Human Resource Development and Arjun Munda has been appointed as Minister of Tribal Affairs.

Kiren Rijiju has been appointed as the Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports and Minister of State in the Ministry of Minority Affairs.

Smriti Irani to be the Minister of Women and Child Development; and Minister of Textiles. And Harsimrat Kaur Badal has been appointed as the Minister of Food Processing Industries.

Narendra Singh Tomar appointed as the Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj; Ravi Shankar Prasad to be the Minister of Law&Justice, Minister of Communications, Minister of Electronics&Information Technology.

Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi to be the Minister of Minority Affairs, Pralhad Joshi to be the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs; Minister of Coal; and Minister of Mines. And Mahendra Nath Pandey has been appointed as the Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.

DV Sadananda Gowda appointed as the Minister of Chemical and Fertilisers, Nirmala Sitharaman to be the Minister of Finance & Minister of Corporate Affairs, Ram Vilas Paswan to be the Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution.

Prakash Javadekar has been appointed as Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change; and Minister of Information and Broadcasting. Piyush Goyal as Minister of Railways; and Minister of Commerce and Industry.
