New Delhi: Despite reporting less coronavirus cases, Canada has further extended by one month the flight restrictions for the safety of its own citizens. The international flights to Canada will remain suspended till September 30.
According to sources, the federal government has been reviewing the coronavirus situation month-by-month and adjusting travel policies accordingly. In cases of special permissions to travel to Canada, all travellers will have to follow the 14 days home quarantine or self-isolation rules strictly.
In view of the Corona pandemic, Canada’s Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) department is issuing special permits to travel to Canada its own citizens stranded elsewhere or its permanent residents, people who have been approved for Canadian permanent residence, temporary foreign workers, international students and immediate family members of Canadian citizens and permanent residents including spouses or common-law partners, dependent children, parent or step-parent, guardian or tutor of its permanent residents.
Canada currently is the most favourite country for the students looking for further studies. After coronavirus outbreak, international students have been forced to study online and are not allowed to physically attend the first semester in Canada.
