India-China Border Disengagement:  The tenth round of commander-level talks underway

New Delhi: India and China at Moldo on Saturday morning held the tenth commander-level talk to discuss disengagement at four more locations. China and India has already withdrew its troops and army from the Pangong Tso.

China may take more time at two locations to remove its troops and weapons.

The tenth round of commander-level talk is for the disengagement of the Army at Gogra, Hot Springs and Depsang Plains in the Eastern Ladakh region.

According to the local experts – Depsang Plains has a wider strategic ramifications and the post-April transgressions in Gogra and the Hot Springs areas.

Indian side delegation of senior Army and ITBP officials is led by GoC of Fire and Fury Lt. Gen PGK Menon.

The first phase of disengagement on the north and south banks of Pangong Tso is completed without any issues.

Lieutenant General YK Joshi in Northern Command said that “disengagement is on the lines as expected and daily talks at local commander level are continuing to ensure the process peacefully.”

On Friday night Chinese media and several twitter handles have released videos and pictures reportedly of Galwan clash between the two armies.
