Mumbai: Actor Taapsee Pannu has turned producer with the launch of her own production house, Outsiders Films, to nurture talents with no film background.
The actor has teamed up with content creator and producer Pranjal Khandhdiya to launch Outsider Films.
Excited about expanding her horizons as a producer, Taapsee said, “I have been very sure that direction is not my cup of tea. Production was something I could pull off. Being an actor, I love to act, and I cannot divert my attention and focus to something else when I am on a set.”
Talking about Outsider Films, she said, “Pranjal and I both come from humble backgrounds and that is when the name Outsiders Films clicked with us. We aim to produce meaningful, entertaining, and quality content.”
“I continue to back quality content under Outsider Films and will only produce the kind of films I will be a part of. However, this does not mean that I have to be part of every film I produce.”
Recently seen in Haseen Dilruba, the actor has films Loop Lapeta, Rashmi Rocket, Dobaaraa, and Shabaash Mithu, lined for release.
