New Delhi: The schools resume the Wuhan city where the virus originated. Chinese government allowed around 2800 institutions to restart their new term and according to sources around 1.4 million students will go to the schools after January 2020.

Parents and teachers are worried for their pupils, and any institution will not allow any student to let down the safe guard. Tears and excitement from students greeted teachers on the first day of school after seven months in the Chinese city of Wuhan.

Over this decision parents said “During the epidemic, the kids were at home for more than half a year and in all aspects couldn’t study as well as they could at school,”

However, Wuhan reports 3869 deaths so far which is more than 80 per cent of China’s total deaths and it has not seen single local transmission since the middle of May.

Wuhan’s educational institutions which receive permissions to restart, are taking necessary steps and precaution. All institutions are doing regular temperature tests of children. The government has advised parents to avoid public transport as much as possible. Buses were half-empty, with students being driven to class by private car or on electric scooters.

To stop the spread in the collage and universities, all university students will be tested before they are allowed back, and those returning from overseas will be quarantined in campus guesthouses for 14 days.

University teacher (40) Qiao Qiong said “Home schooling is over now, but normality is still some distance away so the virus is not a tiny thing and I believe we still need some time, Probably there will be some emergency situations but we are well-prepared for them.”
