New Delhi: The French Prime Minister on March 16 expressed tension on coronavirus spread in the country. The French PM said that “France enters the third wave of Corona pandemic.”

France reports more than 25000 coronavirus cases a day from the last seven days and this is for the first time since November 2020.
The French health authorities reported 29,975 new cases yesterday, a 4.5% jump versus last Tuesday’s total and the sharpest week-on-week rise in a month and a half.

France-based medical health experts say that “Spread of virus in France can be tackled only by a new lockdown. Other European countries are have already announced temporary lockdown amid rising cases in the nation.”

The vaccination process in France is also slow compare to the vaccination process in India, the UK, and the US. President Emmanuel Macron is still hoping a vaccination drive can stave off the effects of a new pandemic wave triggered by more contagious variants, and thus prevent France from resorting to a third national lockdown.

Amid rising coronavirus in France – Emmanuel Macron on Monday banned the use of AstraZeneca vaccine over safety concerns.
Experts from France were believed that the AstraZeneca Coronavirus vaccine could play the role of game-changer in the fight against corona, but a ban on the use of AstraZeneca could jeopardize the government’s strategy.

France is the sixth most coronavirus-affected country in the world and has reported 4.11 million cases of coronavirus so far. France has the world’s seventh-highest death toll at 91,170 fatalities.
